Sanderstead Singers sang at Chester Cathedral, this year, for the first time. The week started on the 24th August and went through to the 30th August. The music to be used for week is listed above.
The anthems sung this year included and anthem composed by Malcolm Bolye, a previous Organist at the Cathedral. Malcolm Boyle contributed significantly to the musical hertitage at Chester Cathedral.
The final anthem for the visit to Chester Cathedral was 'Hail! gladdening light' by Wood. This anthem is sung without any accompaniment, and challenges the choir to remain in key. The anthem was followed by an organ voluntary 'Allegro Risoluto' from Whitlock's Plymouth Suite
