England's Cathedrals with Sanderstead Singers


Salisbury Cathedral

Sanderstead Singers have sung at Salisbury Cathedral three times. The first occasion was in August 1991. This was the first choir camp at which Sanderstead Singers sang as a Choir. The second time they sang at Salisbury was in August 1999 and the third in August 2004.

The two photographs opposite are of Sanderstead Singers at Salisbury Cathedral in 1991 and 1999. The photograph overleaf is of the choir at Salisbury in August 2004.

The 1991 visit saw anthems by Bainton and Gardiner. The Choirmaster was Fred Irvine and the Organist was John Eagles.

At the 1999 visit the choir sang anthems composed by Howells, Aston and Bruckner.
