The music this year was chosen from a repertoire of personal favourites of Fred Irvine. Fred stepped down this year from his role as Choirmaster after 28 years. A selection of recordings from the music of the week can be heard below.

Stanford's 'Justorium animae' was sung in the Lady Chapel at Ely Cathedral. This is the largest Lady Chapel in an English Cathedral. The Lady Chapel at Ely Cathedral has a domed ceiling and this combined with it's size gives it a unique acoustic signature. This unique and deep reverberation can be heard clearly on the recording.

The following is a recording of Schubert's 'The Lord is my Shepherd'. It was sung at Ely Cathedral on 20th August 2018. The Conductor was Fred Irvine and the Organist was Dan Soper. The recording is a Dartworth recording.
